The definition of Inspiring is; (Someone) with the urge or ability to do or feel something creative; Create a positive feeling in a person; Inspire confidence. The other day I was online where I stumbled across some inspiring quotes not just for event planners but for business people in general. And while they were all definitely encouraging, motivating and inspirational, it got me thinking where do event and meeting planners get their inspiration from? So many of the professionals I know that plan meetings for a living really do love what they do. Yes, it can be hard stress filled work and a lot of hours but given the chance, no planner I know, would switch careers, not for anything. Planners in our industry do have a passion for this business and planning; and you know what they say about passion, define it, find a way to get paid for it and you’re set for life.

Some said; learning new things; expanding knowledge; a chance to grow; accomplishing assorted and diverse tasks and applying their expertise in particular were a handful of things that continue to keep them motivated. For me the things that get me going include; infusing fun and joy into the planning; working with great clients; creating a team second to none, success and having a laugh whenever possible.
