Google Hotel Finder is a new service from Google that allows meeting planners and individuals to search for and book hotels in various cities. One thing that sets Google Hotel Finder apart from other hotel search engines is that you’re able to compare prices from the various resale vendors and the hotel reservation site itself. All without leaving the Google Hotel Finder website. Meeting planners will find this software valuable for event planning because it enables them to see at a glance the price ranges that are being offered on the particular hotel properties.
How Google Hotel Finder Assist Meeting Planners
Online event planning is common today. There are many types of software for event planning to choose from. Like other Google applications, Google Hotel Finder is easy to use and is quick to find the information that meeting planners are searching for. It allows meeting planners and/or individuals to create a short list of hotels that they’re interested in. They can come back to their saved searches later and add reviews or delete as needed from their lists. Simply by clicking the hotel, the listing expands and shows information directly from the hotel site. Also by hovering over the hotel you’re able to see instantly where that hotel is located on a map (this features fed by Google maps).
The demo below gives a quick overview of the features and benefits of Google Hotel Finder.
When I first reviewed the Google Hotel finders site the one thing that impressed me was that a meeting planner or an individual is able to see the price range being offered for that property. That alone alleviates the concern that many meeting planners have about whether or not they’re getting the best price available. Meeting and event planners are always looking for event planning software that makes their job easier. And cloud based event planner software is becoming very popular. I’m sure as Google Hotel Finder expands its service we’re going to see many additional features added to it. Certainly something worth checking out and keeping in mind for the next time you need to find and book a hotel.
