Many Americans are busy planning a party for . When you think of Super Bowl parties, most often food items like chicken wings and pizza go hand-in-hand. Super Bowl Sunday is the day that sees Americans consume a great deal of our favorite snack foods. In fact, speaking in consumption terms, Super Bowl Sunday is only outdone by Thanksgiving. That’s a lot of food. But after all it is a party and no matter which team you’re rooting for there’s one thing that’s certain, you’re probably going to leave your Super Bowl party feeling very full.

The numbers are staggering. According to the Huffington Post we’re expected to eat a whole day’s worth of calories during the game. Here are a few of the items that you can expect to see at your Super Bowl party:

- beer (okay so it’s not food but what would be a Super Bowl party without beer)
