Call it what you want self-love, happiness, encouragement or non-negotiable joy. The values, beliefs and philosophies that help one be a happy and fulfilled human. And if I’ve learned anything it’s that my joy is indeed non-negotiable. Work is busy and so is life. And in the midst of that we’re all just trying to make it through in one piece. I have had several amazing experiences. That had made me silently say remember this joy moment for when you need it. And in those situations where I really need a break I call it up. And as ridiculous as it may sound it can and does help. We’ve all been there and can easily feel overworked and underappreciated. It’s in those moments that it’s up to us to bolster and strengthen ourselves.
Are you a meet you a in the middle kind of person? Whether you want to be or not? Do you put yourself last? Or feel your happiness isn’t as important as others? Non-negotiable joy doesn’t just happen. It’s up to us to find and establish what our personal non-negotiables are. And then set goals, be dedicated and keep our eye on the prize. Whether it be in your career or home life, first ask yourself these questions:
What is most important to you? What do you value the greatest? Where do you find the most pleasure and happiness? What will leave you with the least amount of daily disappointments? Do you have goals? How can you go about accomplishing those goals? What will inspire you to find the life you want?
