Recently winners of the 2013 Hall of Fame Awards of Excellence were announced by The Hotel Association of Canada (HAC). The awards were created by the Hotel Association in an effort to acknowledge association members (properties, people and companies), that have proven important and substantial achievements, praiseworthy guidance and management and an unflagging obligation to the accommodation industry in Canada.
Just ask The Hotel Association of Canada’s president, Tony Pollard who said “The goal of HAC’s awards program is to reward strong standards in the industry that will enable Canada to remain competitive. We are pleased to honour the 2013 award recipients, whom we feel represent some of the finest examples of professionalism, quality and excellence.”
Talking 2013 Hall of Fame Awards of Excellence but First Who is The Hotel Association of Canada?
Celebrating 100 years, The Hotel Association of Canada has been an active and valuable authority and resource for the Hotel and Accommodation Industry in Canada. They have tiredly worked to develop and enrich the success of the Canadian Hotel and Lodging Industry. Doing so in part by utilizing a sound and effective membership, providing solid support, encouragement and activism as well as enhanced and valuable services and programs.
The heart and soul of the association and one of the more essential parts are the members. Comprised of hotel related organizations including hotels, resorts, provincial and international lodging associations, industry suppliers, educators and students. HAC advocates and champions for over 8,500 resorts, hotels and motels that provide work for 290,000 people that help comprise the over $17,000 billion hotel industry in Canada.
2013 Hall of Fame Awards of Excellence, And the Winners are…
The 2013 Hall of Fame Awards of Excellence will be handed out on February 12th, 2014. Where some of the accommodations industry’s biggest and brightest will gather for the Hotel Association of Canada’s conference. Looking to network, share and cultivate visions, ideas and concepts as well as assist in developing plans and approaches that will help to drive success in the coming year.
Winners were acknowledged in three categories and finally… drum roll please, the winners are:
Humanitarian Category – Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort & Conference Centre, Vancouver Island
Human Resources Category – The Gold Eagle Lodge, Saskatchewan
Green Key Environment Category – Delta Hotels & Resorts
