Who doesn’t need a bit of motivation and encouragement every once and a while? A meeting and event planners life is filled with lots of peaks and valleys. No day is the same (so they say); and with a to-do-list usually chocked filled with a million things. Nothing’s wrong with a little push to help us to carry on. For those of us fortunate to make a living planning, sometimes just sometimes, we all need a drop of help finding our get-up-and-go. And in those instances I can use a kick in the pants and a bit of motivation; to help remember my purpose, keep focus and achieve positive results.
Why Motivation Helps
Why is motivation a valuable part of any job or organization? Because it helps us to establish and surpass objectives and goals. Anytime we look for a successful outcome we need motivation and inspiration. It’s a bit of a ying and yang. It’s been said that those that do good work must be motivated. And that good work is only doable with motivation. And in the same light motivation enhances and develops capability, value, productivity and effectiveness. And an increase in efficiency and success is never a bad thing.
What Works For Me Motivation Wise
Now I’m not that gullible to think that by reading a hand full of quotes we’ll all immediately be inspired and on our way to victory. There are lots of reasons why we lose motivation. A shortage of confidence, we can’t figure out the way or can’t locate our focus, just to name a few. And lots of ways to get our mojo back. When I’m trying to find my motivation I create a to-do list along with a plan. I start with the minor and easier tasks and go from there. This helps me to set things in motion and find my initiative and determination. And sometimes I eye various humorous, inspiring and yes motivational quotes. That can help me to get my things in motion.
