Do you break out in hives at just the thought of having to plan a fashion show? Does the notion of fashion show lighting and fashion show decorations ideas and all that is involved just stress you out? Planning a fashion show and don’t know where to start? When planning a fashion show there is lots to take in to account. While the superstar of fashion shows are the clothes, there’s a ton of coordination details involved. Being challenged to think differently, have fresh ideas and bring unique outlooks to the table. And planning a fashion show is no different. It’s all about having a plan, providing a great show and creating an outstanding event for the crowd.

How to Plan a Fashion Show, Getting Started

When looking to host an unforgettable fashion show, it’s important to remember it’s all about the flawless presentation of the clothes. You always want to leave the audience dazzled and excited. There are quite a few essential steps required in planning a stylish and successful fashion show. So let’s get started answering that age old question how to host a fashion show.

• Determine the Objectives and Goals
• Establish a Budget
• Build your Creative Team
• Decide on the Theme and Timing
• Find an Appropriate Venue
• Create the Atmosphere
• Decide on the Production Needs
• Coordinate Rentals; Sound, Lighting, Chairs, Staging and the Runway
• Find and Secure Designers, Clothes and Models
• Book Technology; the MC, DJ and Music
• Hire Make-up and Hair People
• When Applicable; Find Sponsorship, Promote the Show and Recruit Volunteers
• Create a Buzz
• Coordinate Goodie Bags
• Have a Dress Rehearsal
• Expect the Unexpected
