Meeting planners are one of the hardest working groups of people I know. They have so many balls in the air that just keeping up with it all is job on its own. As many a blog has been written, in order to accomplish the job successfully, a meeting planner must be organized and hard working in addition to about a million other qualities. To achieve victory it is imperative that meeting planners surround themselves with an amazing team. Of course an amazing team they consider second to none.
Some of the most essential means in finding and securing service companies to partner with that will best suit your needs and personality is through leg work and research. First and foremost you want to explore experience, knowledge, approachability and availability along with various other qualities that are important to you and your organization. By being prepared you will ensure you select the right supplier companies that help you achieve a successful meeting.
I have found the meeting planner/supplier relationship to be one of the most positive work experiences to date. Most planners end up using the same suppliers time after time, year after year. They are the expert in their field and you come to count on them. They will be honest with you, provide you with the best advice and will give it their all to execute a successful meeting while striving to, whenever possible, save time, energy and money.
Sometimes, choosing the best company is easier said than done. Unfortunately, the Norwegian New Year’s celebration shown in the video clip obviously didn’t make the right choice.
