Christmas day, December 25th, is one of the holiest days in the Christian calendar. It’s the day that Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. If marketers were operating then, as they do today, the biggest question would’ve been how to promote an event of this magnitude. You see, as the story goes, Joseph and Mary were on their way to Bethlehem to pay their taxes. There was no room at the Inn (now remember this point, especially from a marketing point of view). As a last resort they were forced to stay in a manger and…, well, as they say, the rest is history.

Our friends at Funny or Die have a different take on that event. Put yourself in the position of the hotel  that turned the, now famous, couple away. In hotel terms that’s called “walking”. Can you imagine the missed opportunity of how to promote an event as the place where this son of God was born. Let’s just say the owners of the hotel didn’t take this news very well.

A word of caution – some language in the video below may not be suitable for all viewers.
