Ask anyone involved with planning events and they’ll tell you just how important gifts can be to their programs. It’s also happens to be one of the last items that gets addressed. Gifts, however, are important as they provide the delegate with a memento of the conference.  Team building planning events, as an example, often use gifts as part of the exercise.

Meeting planners should, however, take the extra time to research the types of gifts their clients can offer. In the following video, we take a light-hearted look at what can happen when very little thought is given to the type of gifts.

So for those of you planning events, take a little extra time and make sure your gift matches its recipient. Don’t let something that you thought was a trivial part of the process to be the lasting impression of your service.
